Heartland Sports Promotions and the Kansas City Triathlon Board of Directors are pleased to announce the sophomore year of the Kansas City Triathlon. The triathlon will be held on Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 at Longview Lake in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

In May 2009, nearly 600 athletes took part in our inaugural event, which quickly set itself apart from the area's traditional races.

Major points of difference that will make the 2010 Kansas City Triathlon a desired event among area athletes include:

• Kansas City's only Olympic and Half Olympic Distance Triathlon
• Special upgrade opportunity called "The Triathlete Experience" sold out in 2009 will be available again
• "Triple Crown" Point Series featuring recognition and awards
• The course is well marked and the event has a national feel and presentation on race day

It is our goal to grow the event quickly while maintaining quality.
We plan on becoming the area's largest race in 2010.
